hi folks. as the title says, i am feeling sore at the moment. i have had a lump on my left shoulder blade for about 20 years, no problems. then last friday it started to hurt me. it got worse, so i went to the doctors on an emergency appointment and it had become infected. so i went to the doctor's on thursday and he took 40 minutes to cut the cyst out, then 20 minutes to sew me up again. and it still hurts a bit. i've had to have 2 nights off work, and being self-employed means i don't get paid if i don't work. i'm hoping to be back at work on monday after my check up with the nurse.
though i had to get up at 5am this morning to go to work, as there was some work to do and i hoped my boss would do it, because he's a great bloke and he's the sort who will help you if he can. but he was working all day yesterday and last night, so my mum asked me to go in. i did and saw my boss and he was grateful i was there to do it. i felt silly though as i can only use 1 hand to type at the moment which makes me slow.
the best thing about this though, is how nice my family are being to me. i think some of it is guilt as they thought i was making up the pain and illness to get attention, then they found out it was a legitimate illness and have been really nice to me since. so i'm sore but happy.
i am taking antibiotics for 14 days and it should all be gone then and i can get back to "normal"!
